CoderDojo is an international initiative born in Ireland in 2011 aiming to teach young people to program. A collective learning club for kids to know other people with same interests and learn from each other. We are starting our own CoderDojo open to everyone in Madrid. Come join us!
Contents of the workshop:
- CoderDojo is a club made by all of us, not a nursery or a school.
- Kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied.
- Bring your own laptop or email us if you can't.
It is not a traditional class but a system in which people are divided in grops depending their field of interest. There are "tutors" that teach programming languages, but kids can get together and organize themselves in many ways to learn whichever technology they want.
Eventhough CoderDojo is aimed at boys, girls and youngers, there is no age limit. This is not a nursery or private classes schoool, but a collective learning club to meet other kids with similar interests.
Coderdojo can't work if people can't teach kids what they know. If you know how to program and want to become a "tutor", email us. ccode(at)medialab-prado.es
